1. How long have you been a Xena fan?
I fell hard for Xena when she appeared on Hercules. I used to watch the program with my three year old cousin who loved the monsters, while I loved all the scantily clad women. Xena was of course different to all the rest as she had brains, brawn and a body to drool over.
I would say I became a real "fan" during season 3. Season 3 really got me thinking and caring about the characters, especially Gabrielle. Its also when I started looking for/finding merchandise.
2. Have you seen (a) every episode more than once, (b) every episode at least once, (c) most of the episodes, (d) fewer than half of the episodes?
I've seen every episode more than once, though some only twice (ie Soul Possession, Married with Fishsticks and Kindred Spirits).
3. Do you still watch X:WP (on TV, video or DVD)? If yes, do you watch (a) every day, (b) once or twice a week, (c) a few times a month, (d) a few times a year?
Yes I do. I have all 6 seasons on DVD from England (though they have NO extras). I watch it when I have the time, which is not very often as I work one full-time job, one part-time job and go to university part time also. It's been probably about 2 months since I last managed to watch an episode.
4. How long have you been in the online fandom?
Um, about 1999 I first got the internet at home and very slowly started looking into things. I remember when I first when on the internet in 1998 and typed "Xena" into a search engine, I couldn't believe how many sites there were. I was also very happy to discover on that same day that there were Xena action figures planned, though the announced line-up of 2 Xenas, Gabrielle, Callisto, Joxer, Ares and Hercules didn't all see the light of day.
5. How do you feel about the series' ending? (a) loved it, (b) liked it, (c) had mixed feelings, (d) disliked it, (e) hated it?
Mixed feelings. It didn't feel like part of the series. It felt like a TV movie, which it was intended to be originally. I would have liked something closer to home, like One Against An Army. I didn't mind Xena's death, in fact I quite admired that (it was a bold choice, but made for the wrong reasons). The story-line also could have used some work. I've kinda filled in all the gaps for myself and from research into Japanese culture, but these were things that should have been explained in the episode, especially as the ep was aimed at casual fans/the general audience.
Still it has managed to keep Xena "alive" on the internet and we wouldn't all be so hungry for a movie if the final episodes had been satisfying. Look at Buffy's finale. I watched all seven seasons, but I can barely remember what happened (apart from the fact that Willow is the coolest) and quickly taped over the finale with something else.

I wrote a piece set after FIN, kind of like a Xena movie bringing Xena back. More just as a way to explain to my cousins, how Xena could/should return (they also enjoyed the series, but seeing as they think Xena's now a ghost and can still hit/kick/punch people, they're really not that bothered - they don't see that Xena can't touch anyone but Gabrielle anymore - at least I dont' think she can, but then I think Xena's dead and Gabrielle was just talking to herself anyway).
