Some of you may recognize them from OAHAF- but Ares has been removed from the middle- as you can tell.  .
Thanks to CheesyChess for making the original manipulation. I went ahead and did in photoshop. Unfortunately the computer I did it on is having some resolution problems so there are a few mistakes I had not noticed before. It's my first digital "painting" but I'm happy with how it came out in the end that being considered

It looks great! And definately an improvement without Ares. (for me anyway). I almost wish it wasn't so dark though...I'd like to see more of Xena or
her hair, anyway. lol. But the painted look is amazing!

Pretty good for being the first one! Gabrielle's hair looks really well
I'm sure as you do more of these you'll add more detail and shadings and decide whether you want the black outline to really show or not. But really good for a beginners work Keep them coming

Oh wow I didn't expect this many responses! Thank you everyone! this totally pumps me up for more!!
In my defense the photo I used was too dark! which is why mine turned out that way as well as the damn computer itself was too dark  heh- I dont tend to take
too many liberties when trying to be representational (wow big word-lol). I'll try and find something where both Xena and Gab look better. I mostly did
this one for my first so that I could get a hang of how to go about painting the skin. There was so much purple in this one! lol.
@Aurora Goddess: It's a bit hard for me to explain but its similar to photo manipulation when it comes to using blurs and brush tools- as well as layers but it's basically starting from scratch- a blank canvas and then starting with the outline then coloring it in with as much possible detail .
@XNU: yeah- it's a bit different from manipulation- quite a bit actually. I admire those who can be so creative- it's definitely not easy to make them look real
But again- thank you everyone! Hopefully I'll have something else to work on and post it soon
