The pin-up icon and sexual revolutionary Bettie Page died yesterday after not regaining conciousness after an heart attack 9 days earlier. She was one of those
people that were way ahead of their times while being strangely timeless.

I loved her over the years.
I heard when she went to the hospital, because she had a stroke or something. Had a feeling that was the end.
She will be missed. Looking at my Xena bust right now, I can't help but to think that Bettie Page's look was an influence on the character. Some of my favorite Lucy Lawless pics are of her done up like Bettie Page. The resemblance is remarkable. |
