The character of Aphrodite is mainly portrayed as the ditz, both on the show and in fanfic. But personally I think there are moments when the character exudes
an incredible melancholy. This happens both pre and post Twilight. There are just moments when she seems so...I don't know what...distant perhaps. Most
likely I'm just seeing stuff, but I watched the Herc ep. The Apple recently and there was one scene in it where
she was watching the surf with this look on her face that spoke of a strange sadness. And that's far from the only time there is a small crack in the love
goddess facade.
Anyhow, now I really want to read some fanfic where she isn't just the blonde ditz. Is there any stuff out there which is darker? Either her as a darker more vengeful goddess or any fic that does make her out to be a more melancholic and sad character? Or if anyone has any good recommendations for Aphrodite centred fanfic in general those will be much appreciated as well.
