Now this will definitely not be painful to watch. You've got any more info on it?

TheJollyApe wrote: Batman isn't going at it alone this time! From Warner Bros. Animation comes the latest interpretation of the classic Batman franchise. Our caped crusader is teamed up with heroes from across the DC Universe, delivering nonstop action and adventure with a touch of comic relief. Blue Beetle, Green Arrow, Aquaman and countless others will get a chance to uphold justice alongside Batman. Though still based in Gotham, Batman will frequently find himself outside city limits, facing situations that are both unfamiliar and exhilarating. With formidable foes around every corner, Batman will still rely on his stealth, resourcefulness and limitless supply of cool gadgets to bring justice home. http://tv.ign.com/objects/142/14245048.html Cartoon Network is looking to push Batman back in the other direction: a friendlier, kinder caped crusader that can be experienced by everyone. Because let's be honest, if you bring a six year old to Dark Knight, you will f*** them up. For life. Like seriously…what's wrong with you? Why do you hate children? Anyway, the point is that Batman has evolved into a grim character and Cartoon Network has a plan to lighten things up a bit. http://tv.ign.com/articles/893/893864p1.html |

Yeah, I'm loving the look. It's like a mixture of old timeness with the "new" slightly manga/anime inspired one. I'm in no ways a gourmet
when it comes to my comics/cartoons, but I think this could be fun. It's a good contrast to the darkness of the most recent movies.

nobody's forcing you to watch it No but I'm expressing my opinion non the less. I hate the idea of yet another kiddie cartoon of the Batman fighting monsters and aliens with a bunch of second rate guys in tights. I much prefer the darker Nolan films. If they're going to do another animated Bat series, I would prefer something like the latest animated film Gotham Knight.

While I prefer my Batman dark and damaged, I appreciate that it isn't very kid-friendly (and can be so dark as to get even grown ups down) so I think
it's great that they're lightening him up a bit. It's nice to have a choice of which Batman to watch.

Aresbitch wrote: same here. what bothered me about DK, is that they marketed it to kids too. if i had any kids, i wouldn't bring them to see the picture, or allow them
to watch it until they got older.

I think maybe 13 years and older is enough to handle the dark atmosphere of the movie (though I admit I haven't seen it yet) and the dark nature of most of
the characters, but anything younger is probably too young. But if you don't market it towards a younger audience, you miss out on most merchandising
revenue so of course, money wins.

I would have preferred Kevin Conroy (the man who voiced Batman in the other cartoons) but whatever.
