I watch it occasionally when I see it - it's pretty funny.

Love it.
So stupid, so brilliant. Have you watched the movie as well? Everything popular is wrong. ![]() |

Yea, I was wondering if the movie was just as funny as the show. I didn't want to plunk down $$$ for seeing it in the theatres,
but will catch it on cable if it appears. I think the show is hilarious but very uneven. I get the sense they use A LOT of improvisation and sometimes that pays off, but sometimes is really is lame. The timing is a bit sluggish as you see them pausing to think of something funny to do or say. I love Dangle, and I love the blonde ... Deputy "Clemmie" Johnson, is it? I think she's got the best comedic timing, frankly. Her trying to teach Trudy, in her granny panties, how to offer prostitution services = Some of the lines from the show have sneaked into Mr. NL's and my lexicon. "She's a kicker, she's a kicker!" is one. When my cat struggles to get away or the dog doesn't want a bath ... Like Junior too, and his deal with the new gal, Deputy Cheresa Kimball, who's his half-sister? too. They kiss then find out they're related. Hee... awkward! That actress' name is Mary Birdsong - huh, sounds Native American. She looks a bit that way. Did you know that the guy playing Junior created the show, (Ben Garant) and I think wrote the movie? He's the big wig of 911, I think he recruited some of the other actors from a comedy troupe they were in.

Yeah it definitely isn't a movie that needs to be seen on the big screen, but well worth a watch. Basically the show with a little more plot than usual.
I'm a big fan of improv so I love it, but I know what you mean. It will automatically make it a bit uneven, still when it's good it is oh so good. Everything popular is wrong. ![]() |
