My friend ErisK and I have been working diligently behind the scenes to rebuild a Xena: Warrior Princess Palace Chat environment. We're now getting close to completion and are planning a date for the opening party! This message is just to let you know what's happening, and to share a few juicy details about the beautiful new environment we've created! Here are some of the features:
- Various water holes, waterfalls and a hot tub!
- Fully detailed Amazon Village
- The Chakram and Staff bar
- Avatar rooms with a range of types (Photo, character, dollz, fantasy)
- Custom Xena sounds for chat
- Club Bailando Night Club
- Mermaid And Shanty - the dive pub for pirates!
- Mount Olympus and the Underworld!
- Various beach settings
There's a whole range of rooms to check out, it's the perfect environment to explore and discover what rooms we've made.
Palace Chat is a 2D comic book-like chat environment that is low-demand on resources and heaps of fun. I recommend the Phalanx Chat programme, as it's current and you don't have to pay to fully access the network. There is a Palace Chat client for Mac users at thepalace.com. If you're curious about avatars, here's a tutorial in how to make them.
I also would like to take this opportunity to ask you guys about three special rooms that I want to build:
- Subber Room
- Shipper Room (AX)
- Shipper Room (GJ)
These will be virtual club-houses where people can talk in detail about their ship if they wish to. Now, what would you like your room to be like? AXers? Subbers? I'm currently talking to GJ fans to find out what they'd like.
