"He was found unconscious at the apartment and pronounced dead," a police spokeswoman said. It is not yet clear how the 28-year-old Australian actor, who earned an Oscar nomination as a gay cowboy in Brokeback Mountain, died. Police said he had been due to have a massage at the flat. I sure hope this isn't what I think it is-a suicide. There are those who spend their entire lives trying to succeed, only to fail...and there are those who are blessed with loads of success, only to throw it away. I've been hearing conflicting reports about where he was at, I read that it was his apartment that this took place. Then I read that is was owned by Mary-Kate, but then that was false. SO it's all a mess right now. What was said by the NYPD is that they found pills (likely over the counter sleeping pills) in he vicinity of his body. I really enjoyed his acting and was looking forward to seeing him in The Dark Kinght (I still am) so this is really a loss of a entertainer who was really coming into his own. RIP Heath.
