So, in Path of Vengence, we learn not only that Livia kills an innocent young girl, but throws defenseless Amazons off a boat--still chained.

This reminded me of the true story of the slave ship Amadeus where the Captain threw chained slaves off of the boat and into the sea. I was pretty horrified by this, and even AW says her opinion of Livia changed when she read that.

In the episode, Xena tells Varia that she might as well kill her too while she's at it--for all the bad...

You go to other boards of different fandoms (Buffy/Angel, She-Ra/He-Man, Red Sonja/Conan, Charmed etc) and Xena [and Hercules] are used as examples when members want to describe something of being low quality? For those of you who have had this experience, do you get bothered or shrug it off? And why or why not?

Also, do you think its unfair that Xena/Hercules gets tossed to the side as some sort of cheap campy rubbish when in fact most of the people who deem it as such haven't...

I finally got to see the "Pirates of the Caribbean" movies recently, and I loved it! I was especially captivated by Johnny Depp's portrayal of Jack Sparrow, who just occurred to me, reminds me a lot like Bruce Campbell's Autolycus. What do you think? Do you see it like I do? Or am I crazy?

I believe the majority of the Xenaverse seems to dislike AFIN as the series finale for X:WP. Everyone has their reasons some didnt like it because TPTB killed Xena off, some didnt like the fact that it was a story completely out of nowhere (Jappa?), some didnt like the lack of involvement from more supporting cast members, some hated it for other reasons and some hated it for all the reasons.

So here is my question:

Would you have been satisfied if X:WP ended after Season 5?...

Okay, so we had this discussion today in my political science class about whether or not online fandoms (such as the xenaverse) that exist on mailing lists, chatrooms, and message boards can actually be called a social group in that we (well, most of us) will probably never meet in real life.

I didn't say anything, for fear of incriminating myself and proded for questions on how I feel about it.
