Myths and tradtions

OK. I noticed that in a lot of Shipper stories there seems to be a habit of including these myths about Xena and Ares. Like the one about the Chosen thing. It seems like a sort of tradition. I mean... that was never really mentioned on the show. Was it?? Any other myths or traditions in shipper fan-fics?

Some of you may remember a website with pictures of ferrets named Ares and Xena. (The webmistress was, not surprisingly, a huge Kevin Smith fan.)

I saw this round-robin idea for a thread at a Days Of Our Lives board,
and thought it'd be fun to try for Xena and Ares:

We take turns giving one word, in alphabetical order, to describe the scene, vibe between them, etc...

You can say more than one word to make a phrase, but they all must be the same letter, except for an "a" or "the" and the like.

Just picking up on something Elfrieda posted in the "bashing" thread -- that Gabrielle is the one who comes between Xena and Ares the most often.

Is that really true?

I'm proceeding here on the assumption that most shippers don't think Xena and Gabrielle are lovers, and therefore don't see Gabrielle as Ares' rival. Because then, how does Gab "come between" Xena and Ares, really? I mean, ok, she helps Xena resist the temptation of the "dark side"...

Sorry if this has already been discussed, but does anyone know if there will be deleted scenes on the Hercules Season 4 DVD set? I've heard mention here of a cut scene with Ares & Xena, um, together , and I'm curious as to the possibility that it might be on a future DVD set. Does anyone know any details? Or should I ask over at the Hercules forum?

A while ago before Carly left for overseas we were tossing up the idea of doing a reading of Shakespeare's Much Ado About Nothing in the park. Well, they were tossing, I was laughing uncontrollably. However the topic of whether Much Ado About Nothing would make an ideal setting for an uber shipper situation came up.

After seeing all the good comments about the special features on the season three dvd, i had to go out and get it. So i was watching a couple of the interviews last night, and i don't know if anyone else picked up on this, but i feel like Lucy might have been secretly rooting for Xena and Ares to get together.
I think someone else might have already pointed this out, but it was really cute to hear her talk about Kevin and his performance as Ares. I think what made me notice this the most...
